I knew this companys website before they had an app. and I loved the sound quality/selection it offered. I always said to myself they should make an app., they did and it is GREAT! Everything that is offered on the website is also offered on here. Each sound has its own volume control, its own "direction" choice(more out of left earbud/right earbud), and how frequently the sound plays. If youre unsure if you want to spend the money, go to the website and play around with it for a bit. Google "naturesoundsfor.me" on your computer and it should be the first result. Personally I think this app is worth well more then 1.99!

I love living in the city but sometimes I just need the quiet. I have had white noise machines that cycle through seagulls and those seagulls just start to annoy me. This app lets you compose your own sounds, like maybe a brook and the wind with a light chime in the distance. I made a composition with a creek, far away thunder, and a cat purring, called it "Comfort-Cabin" and uploaded it. Awesome. You can put it on a timer, or use other apps while it soothes you in the background. I have to go now, its nap time.

Limited number of sounds. Indicates that all sound mixes created by users on their website are available on the App but only the supposedly top 10 show up and the list never changes on my IPad.

This is very nice way to calm down after (or even during) a long day of work. With a large variety of sounds, this is sure to provide people with hours of comfort. Im surprised Im the first review, Id think an app like this would be selling like crazy.

I used the website for about two years to help me fall asleep, now having it on my iTouch is a bonus. Presets are great. Sounds are way better than any other app of its kind! You can make a custom sound for any mood. Really cant say enough good things about this app. I highly recommend it.

Well worth the $1.99, and then some! I love that I can modify the ap to hear thunder more or the loons, etc. I highly recommend it!!

I am from countryside in Europe. Lived next to creek. Now I live in Miami. Miami is loud and chaotic. This app brings me back to my nice little creek behind my house with all the birds singing. It brings back my peace of mind in way to loud Miami. Even my little daughter goes I bed with those clear and clean sounds of nature. A must have for all who love the peaceful environment of nature and meditation. Thank you for this app.

This is well worth the .99 but some of the sounds are somewhat fake sounding. But having a mixer makes it awesome.

Its a great app, just waiting on some more sound selections. The developer seems to continue working on improvements/updates. So this app shouldnt go stale like so many other out there.

Great app. Couldnt ask for more. You can pick up to 4 different soft sounds and adjust their levels or even put them on a timer to fade in or out. Im using rain, thunder and a beach as a sleepy time mix. Also, you can publish your mixes or find already published mixes. It really helps me sleep. The website is free and you wont have to listen on iPhone speakers if you do it that way but I consider buying the app like giving a tip for such an awesome service. Really helps with my insomnia.

Ive been using the web version of this app for years, THRILLED that they have this for my iPad ! Ingenious app. Cant wait til they add more wildlife and nature sounds ! Worth every penny !

After using the website a lot and seeing the ad for the iPad version I immediately bought it after traveling to a college program over the summer, with these mixes of diffrent sounds and easy to use design it has always acted as a background soundtrack to my work. With the sirens and city noises outside its a great way to mask those noises and loose your self so thanks sound mixer! *smiles, gives thumbs up to camera* As generic and one sided as this review sounds, I find its defiantly worth the money ^^

I use this app to study with every day. Dont think I could do without it.
